Rahul Pandey has bagged American's Future Leader Award

The founder of Salute Gorkha Training Center Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Rahul Pandey is a Nepalese Entrepreneur and philanthropist. He was born on 6^th September 1988, in Dolakha, a Himalayan district in Nepal but was brought up in Kathmandu, the traditional Hindu culture.

As a child, he was a very curious and energetic boy he always had the vision to do something great. Although he couldn’t figure out what exactly he wanted to become his youth moving from one job to another just to help sustain his family, one day while working as an instructor and physical trainer at a Pre-Army Training center with as little pay, the working experience became a game changer. There he received a vision profound shape to start up his own socially-responsible training company, reaching out to more youths and making a direct (there are lots of humor about corruption and caste discrimination in Gurkha selection) and tangible difference in many more people’s lives.

With his Karate skills as a Black Belt, Gurkha selection procedure, managerial skills, physical tenacity, and with relentless support from his family and two friends, started Salute Gorkha Training Center in 2009. He spent many sleepless nights planning the company’s establishment and organization. Initially, the company started only with two offices: the head office in Pokhara and a branch office in Kathmandu. As we say “Beginners Luck”, immediately after its establishment Salute Gorkha received a few students for Pre-Army Coaching including educational and physical training.

In the very first selection for the British Gurkha Army, Singapore Police and Indian Army, an impressive number of Salute Gorkha Trainees made it through the finals. Since then, Salute Gorkha has inspired and enabled thousands of pre-army trainees to become British Army, Singapore Police, and Indian Army recruits as well as certified bodyguards in Europe. Salute Gorkha has now moved from rented offices to its own Salute Gorkha Premises in Pokhara.

Salute Gorkha is one of the leading Pre-Army Recruitment Training Center in Nepal in terms of its infrastructure and services, including: quality-education, professional physical-training, in-depth counseling, and the involvement of Ex-servicemen. Ex-British Army, Singapore Police Force, Nepalese Army and Indian Army Officers are retained as advisors and guardians in the Salute Gorkha Team. The company also provides free Pre-Army Recruitment information with full support and guidance to uplift and motivate the potential recruits (PRs) taking into account their personal circumstances.   

Since its inception Salute Gorkha has become one of the pioneers and most preferred pre-army recruitment training centers in Nepal. Although still primarily based in Pokhara, the company now has Branch-offices all over the country in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Dang, Butwal, Chitwan, Surkhet and Dharan.

Salute Gorkha has now completed fourteen years as a competitive training center and knows exactly how to best prepare its young men to be successful against the thousands of other potential recruits. With a massive selection success rate in the “Gurkha Army” recruitment systems, Salute Gorkha has fulfilled the military dreams of thousands of young Nepalese men.

The dream to touch lives and make a great difference to Nepalese youths did not stop there for Rahul Pandey. He went on to author British Gurkha, Indian Army and Singapore Police Recruitment Text Books. He has also given motivational speeches and provided counseling to youths from marginalized communities inspiring them to achieve their dreams. To enhance his skills further, he traveled to Europe to take on Advanced Bodyguard and Security Guard Training in 2015. Upon completion, he became a full member of the International Bodyguard & Security Service Association (IBSSA) of Hungary, as well as Central European Bodyguard Academy Instructor.

Rahul Pandey is not just an influential entrepreneur but also a passionate philanthropist. He is a member of the Manav Sewa Ashram, also known as Human Service Center through which he donates and organizes programs for financially struggling families and homeless people. His social work during the Covid-19 pandemic has been particularly noteworthy.

Since his childhood he is believing in karma (work) than in bhagya (lottery) that is why he has been awarded as:

• Awarded as a "Special student of the year" in the Holy Award in 2^nd April 2005, Kathmandu, Nepal
• Awarded as a "Discipline Sportsman" on 22^nd March 2009 in Fifth National Sports Festival by National Sports Council organized by the Mid Regional Sports Development Committee, Pokhara
• Awarded by "National Social Service Awarded" on 3^rd June 2011 as a Youth Social Worker and Entrepreneur by Nepal Pandey Society Association in Kathmandu, Nepal
• Awarded as a Certified Sports Science Institute Master Trainer on 3^rd June 2019 from Australia 
• Awarded as a "Asia’s Inspiring Personality Award" of the year 2022 - 2023 by Asia Award on 1^st Sept. 2022
• Awarded as a "Asia's Outstanding CEO Award" of the year 2022 -2023 by Asia Award on 1^st Sept. 2022
