GOMATHY D/O SANKARAN has bagged American's Outstanding Inspiring Personality of the Year Award

I am Gomathy d/o Sankaran, a science teacher from a rural Tamil school (SJKT Kangkar Pulai, Johor, Malaysia) here has been using my spare time to come up with my own inventions and innovations, which has managed to earn numerous international recognitions.

I was born Jasin Malacca. I was enrolled for standard one in SJKT Bukit Rengam Johor. I qualified as a teacher from Temenggong Ibrahim Teachers Training College in 1996 and went on to obtain my Bachelor’s Degree in Science in 2009 and my Master in Education in 2013. I am is currently pursuing my PhD from Open University Malaysia. As a science enthusiast, i enjoys teaching science and has been serving as one since 1997. I am now a Guru Cemerlang Sains (Excellent Teacher) for science.

I had clinched more than 160 awards including above 87 international awards in the past 15 years and   latest win as Malaysia’s sole winner in this year’s International Woman Achiever.  I have been a teacher for 26 years. I am 50th-year-old’s latest win is when I was announced as Malaysia’s sole winner in this year’s American's Outstanding Inspiring Personality of The Year Award- 2023. I also won a lot of international women awards in all over the world specially from Canada, India, Sri Langka, Singapore, America and so on.  Last year 2022 I was won Anugerah Pesona Wanita Johor 2022- Sektor Pendidikan-Kerajaan Negeri Johor.

I am   indeed an excellent teacher as I has been rewarded as Excellent Teacher in year 2004,2008, 2014 and 2020. I regularly participate in international science innovation programmers and had won several awards both at National and International levels. Notably I won 87 international and 63 national awards and many states level awards.

In 2016 I was honoured with the Ramanujam Award by ASTI, Malaysia. I also trained and guided my students to participated in International and National innovation competitions.

Under my abled guidance my students have won gold medals both in at International and National level. It gives me great pride to see my students under tutelage being given the opportunity to showcase their talent and winning competitions. Besides science awards, as a teacher I am also honoured as Innovative Teacher by the Malaysian Education Ministry. In 2017 I was given the Icon Teacher awards by the formal MIC National President.

I also got another prestige award   for Students Development In Science Education by GOPIO (Global Organization People Of Indian Origin). In 2018 I was given the Icon Teacher awards by META (Meta Youth Association Johor) and an Winner Award by Persatuan  kebudayaan dan Sosial  India Johor . I simply enjoys science and even more joyful when I help in identifying the inherent talents of the young children. I am   still guiding my primary students whose pursuing their studies in university and polytechnic. I   had been serving as a science teacher since 1997. I am excellent teacher in the category of DG48.  My victory bloomed from the year 2008 with the national science fair for young children. In 2019, I also   had been honoured with 2019 Perdana award for   Special Achievement Award for Innovation and Invention Excellence by Malaysian Entrepreneurs Cooperative.

In 2021, I receive a praiseworthy award title, received “Asia’s Women Super Achievers Award” by Asia awards powered by RULA Awards under the category “Asia's Education Awards”. Also won d five medals from the 13th European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation, EUROINVENT 2021.  (EUROINVENT 2021 Gold Medal Award, Diploma of Excellence in EUROINVENT 2021, Special Award of the Turkish EUROINVENT Inventors Association (TÜMM?AD), Special Award of the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA), EUROINVENT SPECIAL AWARD). Also won gold award in The 6th International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada, iCAN 2021.

In 2021 also, I won OUTSTANDING SCIENCE TEACHER OF THE YEAR AWARD by Global Education Summit & Awards (GESA) 2021 for has been doing extraordinary work in science teaching and science innovation.

Feel very honoured to receive an award upon the great Sarvepalli DR Radhakrishnan. Who is the first vice president of India (1952-1962) and also a teacher and philosopher. In 2022 I won 2 gold awards In International Innovation Competition in Canada.

This year 2023 I won INTERNATIONAL WOMEN PARLIAMENT & ICONIC WOMEN AWARD 2023- and the award ceremony at Canada on coming June at NEW DELHI, REPUBLIC OF INDIA.I ALSO WON AMERICAN’S OUTSTANDING INSPIRING PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR AWARD- 2023, whereby the virtual ceremony will be in August 2023

I intend to fulfil MY   PhD and create more students’ achievers and follows
