Mohan Bahadur Paudel has won American Award for Outstanding Leadership and Service

My name is Mohan Bdr. Paudel. I was born on 29th November 1981. I belong to Belauri Municipality-3, Kanchanpur, Sudurpaschim, Nepal. I have been living in Surkhet, Karnali, Nepal since 2002. I have been serving in teaching field since 2004. I have completed Bachelor's Degree in Three Subjects (BA in English Literature, B.Ed. in English and LLB).  I have completed Master's Degree in Two Subjects (MA Sociology from TU and MA English from MU).

My job description is as follow; First Teacher as a Lower Secondary Teacher and I worked there as the Hostel Warden in Elite Secondary Boarding School. I left Elite Secondary Boarding School to join Yagya Peace Homes Academy as a Primary Teacher, Later I was promoted as the Exam Coordinator from 2007 to 2007. Then I was appointed as the Vice Principal in 2008 and I served the Institution until 2011.

Then in 2011, I was again promoted as the Principal of the School. In 2017, I got a chance to invest in the school and became one of the Share Holders of the school, so I did. Mean while I invested in the School Hostel and became the sole owner of the School Hostel. In the field of teaching, I taught as a tutor in New Quality Educational Academy for four years. In April 2024, I got a golden opportunity to be the Principal of a reputed Secondary School, where there is a good strength of students in grade 11 and 12 classes for Science, Management, Education and Law in Karnali Province. In May, I joined South Asian Scholars Academy Secondary School (SASA Surkhet).

South Asian Scholars Academy Secondary School (SASA Surkhet) is not only a renowned School in Karnali Province but also all over Nepal.  It was established in 2002 with the motto of "Education for wisdom, Excellence and Competency." Mr. Ganesh Adhikari, a returnee from The Republic of Korea, a renowned businessperson and social service figure of the Province, who serves the school as The Director and Mr. Chhatra Baduwal, a famous Mathematics Teacher of the Province, who serves the school as The CEO, together own the Institution with a team of Lecturers of Mid-West University. Within the premises of SASA Surkhet there we run a College for Bachelor of Business Studies affiliated by Tribhuvan University.

The School strengthens up to 2500 students and the College strengthens around 400 students. The School and College together provide job opportunity for more than 150 teachers/lecturers and more than 30 non teaching staffs. The school is well known for its both Curricular and co curricular activities. Almost every year it brings top result in the National Education Board. The School conducts Parents and Teacher Conference every month as it is scheduled in the Academic Calendar.

Four School buses carry students from different parts of the Valley. It was awarded as the Outstanding "Secondary School Honour" by Civil Unification Society, Kathmandu, Nepal on 13 July, 2019 and "Outstanding Educational Institute Honour-2080" by Chandralok Pratisthan, Kathmandu Nepal on 29 July, 2023.

Besides educational service, I am involved in different social service organizations, i.e. Lions International, The International Association of Lions Clubs since LY:2016/17, now I serve as The First Vice President of my home club; LC Surkhet Bulbule. In the Year 2024/'25 starting from July 1st I am going to be installed as the President of my home club. I served as the "Chairperson of Auspicious Youth Society' for a year in 2004 to 2005 AD. I am a Life Member of Nepal English Language Association (NELTA Surkhet). Province Coordinator of International English Language Teachers' Association (IELTA).

I am grateful to American Awards affiliated with United Research Council for the recognition of my service to imparting quality education as an Educator and an Educational Leader in my area with the award title, “American Award for Outstanding Leadership and Service”. There is no words found
