Rajeev Kumar Dubey Has bagged American's Exemplary Leadership Award

Rajeev Kumar Dubey is currently working as Professor of Anaesthesiology at the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (India). His academic background comprises the disciplines of Anaesthesiology, Critical care and Hospital Administration. He is the in-charge of the Critical Care Medicine at his institute. He is involved in the management of critically ill patients, delivering anaesthesia to highly specialized cardiac and neurological surgeries.

He is involved in the training of  undergraduate, postgraduate and post-doctoral medical students. He has delivered several academic lectures at national and international conferences. He has over fifty national and international research publications to his credit. He has authored many chapters and edited several medical textbooks. He is an active member of the editorial and reviewer board of various journals. He has been actively involved as an expert in the various medical education and steering boards.

He has been the nodal officer during the Covid-19 pandemic at his institute and has been felicitated for his exemplary dedication and administrative capabilities. He has been active member of the Rotary club and several other charitable organizations. He has been actively involved in creating social awareness regarding plantation, plastic-free society and sustainable development.  

Apart from being a popular teacher and eminent physician, he is also a candid author and a sensitive poet. He has intensely followed Indian culture, literature and history. He has a particular interest in the Gita, spirituality and Rajayoga meditation. His love for poetry has been since his childhood. He developed a deep interest in value-based poetry during his early days through an avid study of Ramcharit Manas under the mentorship of his father. His poems have been published in many literary journals. His poems narrated on various literary and poetic platforms and broadcast from All India Radio have been widely appreciated.

His book 'Urvi' (or mother Earth) is the compilation of poems that are profoundly connected with the Indian values and ethos. This anthology displays an extraordinary and a rare blend of spiritual elevation, global accord, universal brotherhood, world-peace, singular dedication to the nation, inspiration for the revival of Indian culture, women-empowerment and love for the nature. It is capable to leave an indelible imprint on the hearts of the readers with utmost ease. 

His second book ‘Kavi – Kovid’ draws on the remarkable powers of resilience and cooperation that we fortunately enjoy as humans. It enthuses faith in midst of fear, brings hope in the turmoil of despair, focuses on strengths instead of weaknesses and educates the readers in an entertaining fashion. 

He has received various awards for his literary pursuit, such as Poet of the Year award (2022), Golden Book award (2023), IAA Author award (2023) and Sangam Sahitya Sewa Samman award (2023) and Super Power Author Award (2023).

He comes from a close-knit family that comprises his mother, wife and a daughter. His wife is working as Senior Consultant in the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Indian Railways.

I would like to extend my gratitude to my family and friends for their relentless dedication, creativity, and hard work that made this achievement possible. This award serves as a reminder that our efforts are making a meaningful difference and inspiring positive change.
